From the 11 mile strenuous Kalalau Trail to the crystal clear Tunnels Beach, Kauai invigorated my senses unlike any other travel destinations. Kauai is the oldest Hawaiian Island. Despite its lack of night life, it is complete with natural beauty and unique geographical sceneries.
Chris and I woke up at dawn (thanks to our jetlag) and jam-packed our days with outdoor activities. We hiked the Kalalau Trail, snorkeled at Tunnels Beach, cliff-jumped at Shipwreck Beach, zip-lined on the private lands of Princeville Ranch. At night, we celebrated life at a traditional luau dinner, listened to local bands, and gazed at the vast collection of stars in the pitch-black galaxy.
Food in Kauai was delicious. I stuffed my belly with tropical smoothies made with papaya and guava, fresh poke bowls, and Hawaiian’s favorite fast food saimin. Kauai has gained an implacable spot in my heart with its natural landscape and rich culture. If you have never been, I highly recommend you to visit at least once in your lifetime.
I packed a lot of summer pieces for my visit to Kauai. My favor one was this blue/white romper by Faithful the Brand. Feminine and simple with a flair of Bohemian spirit, all pieces in the collection are hand-made, hand-printed and hand-dyed in Bali, Indonesia.
Hope you enjoy the post!
Smile and style on~
